Science and Technology

We are learning about the water cycle in Room 8. We had an amazing day of science on Friday. We explored materials science through learning about and experimenting with states of matter. we made ice cream with Miss Fisher and Mrs Donlon, popcorn with Mrs Naido and Mrs Carroll, hokey pokey with Whaea Sheena and lava lamps With Mr Liley and Mrs Bright. Wow! what a great day of learning and fun we had!!

Hot Chocolate! Room 8 enjoyed making hot chocolate with Whaea Krystal. We explored whether it mixes better with hot or cold milk and used our senses to observe and experience the changes that happened during this experiment. We used the scientific process of asking questions, making a hypothesis, experimenting, observing and drawing conclusions about what would happen during our hot chocolate experience.
